The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Anthony Edwards has joined LaMelo Ball as the only top rookies to have signed a shoe endorsement deal.

The Minnesota Timberwolves guard, has reached an agreement with Adidas for a multi-year sneaker deal, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. 

Edwards averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 33 minutes over 32 games as a freshman at the University of Georgia last season.

The Timberwolves haven't been able to make the playoffs since 2018, and Edwards is expected to bring them back there alongside D'Angelo Russell and Karl Anthony Towns.  

Edwards joins Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young and Damian Lillard as the face of Adidas Basketball.
