Kevin Porter Jr's exit from the Cleveland Cavaliers may have caused him to play the G-League season, but in just a matter of weeks he's back in the association.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported the Houston Rockets have recalled Porter Jr. from the G-League.

In 15 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, he averaged 24.1 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game, looking like a younger version of James Harden.

Porter Jr. parted aways with the Cavaliers and was traded to the Rockets. In order for him to start getting back into playing shape, Houston decided to send him to the G League bubble.

Although its not been the first half of the season the Rockets expected, Stephen Silas is confident that bringing back Porter Jr. along with a healthy Christian Wood, could cause a shift of momentum in the organization.

The Rockets also signed Anthony Lamb from the G-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers on a two-way contract.
