Slowly but surely it seems like DeMarcus Cousins is ready to be back at the level he used to be at. Injuries were a minor setback, but the comeback is on.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to sign 'Boogie' Cousins to a 10-day contract.

This season, Cousins signed a fully-guaranteed deal with the Houston Rockets prior to being waived by the organization.

The 30 year-old, who showed he’s healthy and impactful this season, averaged 9.4 points and 7.6 rebounds in 25 games for Stephen Silas squad.

Cousins used to be considered as the best center in the NBA, as he made four consecutive All-Star teams from 2015-18, and even averaged 25.2 points per game on 46.6 percent shooting in five seasons.

He is expected to bring size to a squad which features players like Ivica Zubac, Serge Ibaka and Nicolas Batum in the front court.
