The Philadelphia Union earned a point as they wrapped up their Florida swing with a 1-1 draw against Inter Miami at DRV PNK Stadium.

Robbie Robinson scored his second goal of the season to give the Herons a 71st minute lead only to see Kacper Przybylko level with his team-high sixth of the 2021 campaign.

Story of the match

Philadelphia was on top early in the match as Daniel Gazdag blasted a shot in the third minute. Przybylko then had the next chance, but fired well over and another in the 14th minute was much closer.

Jamiro Monteiro then found Alejandro Bedoya with a lofted pass, but the Union captain just missed re-directing the ball on net.

There was a scary moment for Philadelphia as there were calls for handball on Kai Wagner, but the protests were waved off. Shortly after, Gonzalo Higuain tried to send a ball to Kieran Gibbs, but Robbie Robinson collected the ball instead and missed.

With neither team creating in the second half, Miami finally took one of their chances as Gonzalo Higuain played Robinson in and after being one-on-one with Union goalkeeper Matt Freese, the Argentine's shot deflected off of Freese's glove and bounced into the back of the net.

The Herons pushed for a second and Robinson nearly got it a minute later and Gonzalo Higuain was twice played in while Freese collected a shot from Brek Shea.

Facing a second loss to the bottom team in the league, the Union increased the pressure and it paid off five minutes from time as Quinn Sullivan and Gazdag played a one-two, Sullivan sent a low cross to Przybylko, who did just enough to beat Marsman and rescue a point for the visitors.
