The New England Revolution rallied for a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena.

Wiki Carmona gave New York an eighth-minute lead before Gustavo Bou tied the score on the hour mark. Fabio gave the Red Bulls the lead back three minutes later and it looked like they would take all three points until Brandon Bye and Adam Buksa struck in the final six minutes.

Story of the match

In the fifth minute, DeJuan Jones attempted to clear a bouncing ball his own box. He missed the ball completely as it continued to bounce in the New England box. Goalkeeper Brad Knighton came over and scooped up the ball before New York could capitalize.

In the eighth minute, the Red Bulls opened the scoring. Kyle Duncan found Carmona outside the box. He turned and sent a laser into the back of the bottom right corner of the net past Knighton to make it 1-0.

Buksa nearly scored in the 22nd minute. After juggling the ball inside the area, he sent a shot towards the right side of the net, where it ricocheted off the post. Tommy McNamara would get on top of the deflection and looked to slot the ball home, but Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel deflected the shot away.

Just before halftime, Buksa would hit the woodwork again as his header would bounce off the crossbar, the seventh time he's shot off the woodwork this season.

Bou equalized as he sent a laser to the top right corner of the goal, the ball bouncing off of the crossbar and goal post and into the back of the net. Three minutes later, Caden Clark flicked one on goal that Fábio got on the end of and beat Knighton at his near post to make it 2-1.

Bou thought he again leveled for New England in the 68th minute as Bye found the Argentine wide open inside the six-yard box and he headed the ball past Coronel and into the back of the net, but the assistant referee quickly overturned the goal as Bou was in an offsides position on Bye’s cross in.

Teal Bunbury looked to even the game up in the 82nd minute as he found himself yards out from goal, but his shot would be deflected away by Coronel.

A minute later, the Revolution were level even as they earned a free kick in the final third after a handball by Duncan. Gil would be the one to take the free kick as he sent the ball in. Bye was able to get himself onto the ball and he sent a curling header that eluded Coronel and made it 2-2.

Buksa would make up for his previous errors as he would net the go-ahead goal in the first minute of stoppage time. Gil sent the ball forward where he stumbled on the ball for a second. Once under control, Buksa was able to turn and shoot inside the box, sending the ball to the bottom right corner of the net.

Man of the Match: Adam Buksa

He led the New England search for goals, taking seven shots across the 90 minutes. He got close twice in the first half, and finally found the breakthrough he was searching for with the late game-winner for the Revolution.
