Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Brazilian starlet Nathan for £4.5 million from Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense in the coming days according to Sky Sports
Nathan's move pends on both a medical and the home office granting the player a work permit.
The nineteen year old Brazilian youth international, full name Nathan Allan da Souza, debuted for the Curitiba based side last May and has since went on to make ten more appearances. However, In October the attacking midfielder rejected a new contract and the club took him to court and then demoted him back to their U23 side.
It is expected that Nathan will be sent back to Brazil on loan until the summer when he'll return to London and link up with his new teammates, four of whom are fellow Brazilians.
Interest in Nathan was thought to be very high with Chelsea having to fight off fellow Premier league sides Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
