Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon, once again dropping points against a relegation-threatened side.

Mbaye Diagne put the hosts ahead just moments after kick-off, only for Bruno Fernandes to equalise via an acrobatic effort just shy of half-time.

Player ratings from the Hawthorns.

Defence

David De Gea - 8/10: The Spaniard did what was asked of him for the most part, produced an impressive double save to deny Diagne late on.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 7/10: Sturdy throughout, didn’t step a foot wrong but failed to create as much as he would have hoped.

Victor Lindelöf - 6.5/10: Poor marking played a hand in West Brom’s opener, he sharpened up as the game continued.

Harry Maguire - 7/10: Unfortunate not to score a winner late on, the United captain was there when needed.

Luke Shaw - 8/10: Continued his strong run of form, registering an assist for the  equaliser.

Midfield

Fred - 6/10: Scuppered a couple of half-decent opportunities, failed to have any real impact.

Scott McTominay - 7/10: Another who failed to greatly impact the match, though didn’t step out of line.

Bruno Fernandes - 7.5/10: Not the sort of dominant performance we’ve become accustomed to, however, popped up with a fantastic goal.

Attack

Anthony Martial - 6/10: Quiet throughout, failed to create any clear-cut chances.

Edinson Cavani - 6/10: Never had a real foothold in the game and failed to cause any real problems for the WBA defence.

Marcus Rashford - 7/10: One of the more creative players in the side but ultimately failed to punish the opposition.
