Blackburn Rovers are looking to win only their second game in 10 as they face Brentford at Ewood Park on Friday night. Their opponents are are not struggling as much, winning six of their last 10 games in the EFL Championship

Rovers are currently sitting nine points from the relegation zone with an opportunity to extend the gap even further. The Bees could push into the automatic promotion positions if the other results go their way.

On Tuesday night, Blackburn drew 1-1 at Ewood Park when they hosted Swansea City

Bradley Dack opened the scoring, passing the ball between Freddie Woodman's legs before Andre Ayew equalised from the spot just four minutes later despite Thomas Kaminski getting a hand on his effort. 

Brentford lost to promotion rivals Norwich City at Carrow Road for the Canaries to keep them at the top of the table with a 10-point lead. 

Emi Buendia scored the only goal of the game with a fantastic effort from 22-yards out, into the bottom corner.

Suffering with a groin injury, Daniel Ayala is out for the game alongside Scott Wharton who has an achilles tendon injury. 

Adam Armstrong, Jacob Davenport and Lewis Holtby are all out until April. 

With an illness, Jarrad Brainthwaite is out of the clash.

Brentford

The Bees will be without Shandon Baptiste once again as he recovers from knee surgery. 

Defenders, Pontus Jansson and Rico Henry both carry injuries but are expected to return towards the end of the month.

On loan from Liverpool, the 17-year-old has been a vital part of Rovers' team this season. The young talent has started the majority of games in the the right-wing position with a goal involvement of 14.

Brentford - Ivan Toney

Undoubtedly, the Bees' standout player is Toney. The striker has 25 goals to his name in 33 appearances alongside nine assists.

The Englishman scored a penalty against Rovers in the reverse fixture when the sides drew 2-2.
