Coventry City host Barnsley at St. Andrew's on Sunday afternoon looking to win their third game in five and extend the gap between themselves and the relegation zone.

The Tykes are now four points from seventh place with a game in hand. A win could give the visitors the best chance of competing in the Championship Playoffs.

Most recently, City won away to Rotherham United on Thursday in a big win.

Leo Ostigard scored the only goal of the game in the 70th, heading home past Viktor Johansson.

During the week, Barnsley won by two goals when they hosted Middlesbrough

Alex Mowatt opened the scoring in the 62 minute from a difficult angle before Daryle Dike doubled the lead, 12 minutes later, with a header.

Team news

Coventry City:

City will be without Jodi Jones once again as he carries an ACL injury.

Ben Sheaf and Fankaty Dabo are both out for the rest of the month with a hip injury and a hamstring injury, respectively.

Barnsley:

Also suffering with an ACL injury, Ben Williams is out for at least another week.

Liam Kitching and Herbie Kane are both out with injuries.

Predicted lineups

Coventry City: Wilson; Pask, Ostigard, McFadzean; McCallum, James, Kelly, O'Hare; Eccles; Walker, Gooden.

Barnsley: Collins; Sollbauer, Helik, Anderson; Brittain, Palmer, Mowatt, Styles; Woodrow, Dike, Morris.

Ones to watch

Coventry City - Callum O'Hare

The 22-year-old is one of the more creative players in the City side with six assists, the most in the team, alongside two goals.

Usually staring in the central role, his skilfulness and agility will cause the Tykes' defence a lot of trouble on Saturday.

Barnsley - Alex Mowatt

The attacking midfielder has been key to Barnsley's excellent season and has scored eight goals in the league so far this season with a further seven assists to his name.
