Burton Albion host Lincoln City knowing that a win will secure their spot in the third tier for at least another season.

If we’d have been writing this at the end of last year, anyone would call us crazy. Burton were dead and buried, rock bottom.

Meanwhile for Lincoln, they could jump up to third place with a win in Staffordshire.

Team news

It’s likely that The Brewers will be unchanged once again, after five games unbeaten with minimal changes.

On the other hand, the Imps are going to be without striker Tom Hopper, after he sustained a hamstring injury a few weeks back.

They’re also without Liam Bridcutt, who sustained an injury in March.

  • Predicted lineups

Burton - 4-2-3-1

Garratt; Hamer, Bostwick, Carter, Brayford; Mancienne, Clare; Powell, Edwards, Akins; Fondop Talo.

Lincoln City - 4-2-3-1

Palmer; Bramall, Montsm, Eyoma, Poole; Edun, McGrandles; Scully, Rogers, Johnson; Morton.

  • Ones to watch

Tom Powell - Burton Albion

The former West Ham United school boy has been a huge goalscoring threat for The Brewers this season.

He's scored four goals and assisted eight so far this campaign.

The 22-year-old scored the winning goal against Portsmouth with a 35-yard screamer just last weekend.

Brennan Johnson - Lincoln City

Brennan Johnson has been one of the most important players for The Imps and has been one of the best players in the EFL this season.

The 19-year-old has been involved in 16 goals for Lincoln this year.

However, the attacking midfielder will be returning to Nottingham Forest at the end of the season, something the Reds will look forward to.

  • Previous meetings

When the sides met on boxing day in the reverse fixture, Johson scored twice as Lincoln won 5-1.

  • How to watch

Due to current restrictions in the UK, there will be no fans in attendance at The Pirelli. However, the game is available to watch on iFollow. The kick-off is at 19:00 BST.
