Grant McCann has made numerous changes to his side for the visit of Wigan Athletic to the newly-named MKM stadium. Matt Smith makes his full debut, as does Di'Shon Bernard - and there are seven changes in all. Here's your City side to face the Latics...

  • Goalkeeper

Nathan Baxter - First competitive game for the Tigers today - and he showed great form in pre-season as well as for Accrington Stanley last year. Be interesting to see how he gets on today, but the City faithful seem to rate him highly already.

  • Defence

Josh Emmanuel - Played at left back against Preston North End, but is a right back by trade. Superb the first half of last season until the form of Lewie Coyle made it impossible for him to get back into the team.

Di'Shon Bernard - Promising young center half on loan for the season from Manchester United. Showed excellent ability last year in League Two for Salford City, and this will be a massive season for him.

Jacob Greaves - A remarkable breakthrough season for the young defender last year, who continued to impress each week. Very much the leader out of him and Bernard. Captain today.

Brandon Fleming - Kept out the back end of last season due to injury, Fleming will be wanting to push for the left back spot to be his own with the current absence of Callum Elder.

  • Midfield

Andy Cannon - Came on against Preston and scored with pretty much his first touch. Also scored in pre-season against Scunthorpe United, and will no doubt show bags of energy in the midfield.

Matt Smith - Full debut for the on-loan Manchester City youngster. Played at Doncaster Rovers last season and one that Grant McCann very much rates highly.

George Moncur - A good start so far for the former Luton Town midfielder. Can very much make things happen on the ball and you can imagine a lot of the play coming through him and Smith.

  • Forwards

James Scott - Promising in flashes last season, but often didn't show his best form during the season. Perhaps a fresh start this season? Massive chance for the Scottish winger today.

Keane Lewis-Potter - The home town boy was back to his best against Preston, running the defence absolutely ragged. Certainly one to watch!

Tom Eaves - Huge game for Eaves today. Again, another who struggled to make an impact last season but got an assist at the weekend - could it be the season he makes his mark?

  • Notable substitutes

Andy Smith - Promising young center half in the same mould as his partner Greaves. Showed excellent ability in the pre-season game against Mansfield Town and is one to look out for.

Olly Green - City fans were hugely impressed with the youngster who played 45 minutes against Mansfield and was heavily involved in the goal City scored. Will he get his first competitive appearance today?

City fans - What do we make of the team?
