Not an easy two-leg tie against Pacos De Ferreira in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off, but Spurs have secured their spot into the group stage of the newly-formed international competition.

Tottenham Hotspur have discovered their Conference League opponents, as the group stage draw is completed.

Opponents

Nuno Espírito Santo's side will face Ligue 1's Rennes, Eredivisie's Vitesse and Slovenian side NS Mura in Group G.

Mura, who is the most unknown team out of the entire group, won the Slovenian top-flight title last season on goal difference, which earned them a place into the Conference League.

Rennes finished the 2020 / 21 campaign as the sixth best team in France while Vitesse managed to squeeze into the competition after ending fourth in the Netherlands.

Expectations

Tottenham are expected to win the group with ease, and this would be a great opportunity for Espírito Santo to give some of the younger players in the squad first team experience.

In the Conference League play-off first leg against  Pacos De Ferreira, the Portuguese manager gave the opportunity to five different players to make their first team debuts.

Striker Harry Kane, who made his decision to stay at Spurs this week, scored a brace in the second leg of the tie to send the 'Lilywhites' into the group stage.

''He (Harry Kane) played good, he scored, he had good movements, he helped the team in possession, out of possession kept his shape, helped recover the ball,'' Espírito Santo said after the second leg.

''He is still improving. But playing is the best way for all players to improve, to compete and the edge of the game is what takes players beyond their limits and that is what we expect from all of them.''
