Sutton United host Hartlepool United at Gander Green Lane in a matchup of the two teams promoted to EFL League Two.

The Yellow Army picked up their first victory as members of the Football League against Stevenage, but still sit second from bottom of the table.

Pools have won four of their first six matches since returning to the fourth tier and they sit in a playoff place following a 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers.

Team news

Sutton will be without Jonathan Barden as he was forced off after just five minutes against Stevenage with a hamstring injury. Harry Beautyman, Kenny Davis and Ricky Borboa are all doubtful after missing out on Saturday.

Tyler Burey will miss at least 12 weeks with a grade three hamstring tear. Olufela Olomola will take his place and start alongside Will Goodwin. Gavan Holohan is out with muscle fatigue, so Matty Daly will keep his spot in midfield. David Ferguson returns after missing the win over Bristol Rovers with illness.

Predicted line-ups

Sutton United: Bouzanis; Kizzi, John, Goodliffe, Milsom; Ajiboye, Eastmond, Smith, Boldewijn; Bennett, Sho-Silva

Hartlepool United: Killip; Francis-Angol, Liddle, Byrne; Ferguson, Shelton, Featherstone, Daly, Sterry; Goodwin, Olomola

Ones to watch

Richie Bennett

He found the back of the net twice against Stevenage to provide all of the goals Sutton needed to clinch their first-ever EFL win and will look to keep up this form against Hartlepool.

Jamie Sterry

His deliveries into the box are fantastic, but he took the bit between the teeth and opened his Hartlepool account, scoring the only goal of the match against Bristol Rovers.

Previous meetings

Sutton have lost just once in eight all-time matchups against Hartlepool, claiming three wins and four draws.

Their last meeting saw the Yellow Army claim a 3-0 victory on goals from Robert Milsom, Louis John and Olomola to clinch the Vanarama National League title and with it automatic promotion.
