Back-to-back nightmare games for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, as they have conceded six goals in two games after starting the season with three consecutive clean sheets.

One of the players who has not been happy with his own performances was the Spurs midfielder Dele Alli, who revealed he knows he has to be better, along with the entire squad.

Tottenham also drew in the middle of last week with Rennes away in the UEFA Europa Conference Leaguegroup-stage, which left a bad taste in Nuno Espírito Santo's mouth.

Statement

"As an attacking player and midfielder, I'm not happy with my own performances," Dele told Sky Sports. "I'm not creating or scoring enough."

"We need to start finishing chances and create more," the midfielder said.

"As a team, a lot of positives but 3-0 we can't be happy and we need to look back on it and bounce back in another big game at the week."

Tottenham will face Wolverhampton Wanderers away in the Carabao Cup this week before facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium for this year's first edition of the North London Derby.

Start or bench?

Alli's performance against Chelsea was simply not good enough, and it will be interesting to see on whether or not Espírito Santo opts to start him against Arsenal after recording five consecutive starts in the Premier League.

The 25 year-old allowed Thiago Silva to leap above him for the opening goal of the game against the 'Blues', and his positioning was way too deep for him to have a real chance to impact the game going forward.

Despite that, it should be noted he has done a tremendous work this season while playing a little bit more defensive at certain times.

Despite having Alli, Gio LoCelso and Tanguy Ndombele, Spurs still struggle to create chances, relying solely on Heung-Min Son's and Harry Kane's ability to create something out of nothing.
