Huddersfield Town travel to Wales to take on Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship at the Liberty Stadium, with the game a 15:00  kick off on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers lost last weekend to Nottingham Forest at home in a game which lacked the intensity Carlos Corberan would have wanted from his players. Town will want to put this right having been on a good run previously, with Lewis O'Brien recently signing a contract extension to the delight of the fans. With a good feeling around the club despite the loss, Town need a win to continue punching above their weight in a difficult league.

Town have a mixed record against Swansea City, losing one and winning one, with their recent meeting ending in a 1-2 win at the Liberty Stadium in October 2020. Goals from Harry Toffolo and Josh Koroma secured the win, although Andre Ayew was able to get the Welsh side level from the spot in the 33rd minute.

Huddersfield will likely remain without experienced striker Jordan Rhodes, leaving Danny Ward and Fraizer Campbell to battle to lead the line.

Whichever striker is selected will be supported by exciting forward Josh Koroma, who registered eight goals and two assists in 20 Championship games last year, before being sidelined by a long-term injury. Pipa, Ryan Schofieldand Aaron Roweare all out through injuries and will sit out this weekend's game.

Key midfielder Lewis O'Brien recently committed his future to the Terriers, amid links to Premier League side Leeds United, and he will continue to partner Jonathan Hogg in the engine room.

Swansea should come in with a clean bill of health, although Russell Martin may look to make changes to his side, given their winless run.

Olivier Ntcham and Joel Piroe netted crucial late goals off the bench against Luton Town and did not start against Brighton, potentially suggesting they were being rested to start on Saturday.

Ben Cabango came back into the starting XI for the cup game after being reduced to a substitute in the trip to Luton, and he should again occupy a place in the back three this time around.
