Huddersfield Town will be searching for their first win in three games as they host promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion at the John Smith's Stadium.

West Brom will hope to bounce back after a disappointing draw against Middlesbrough before the international break which saw Neil Warnock depart from Boro immediately after the game.

  • Team news

Alex Mowatt could be due to return to first-team action after picking up a foot injury that has ruled him out since the Baggies' win over Birmingham City.

Centre-back Kean Bryan has been ruled out for the season after suffering ACL damage during the win against Hull City, he'll begin rehabilitation at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

  • Form guide

The Baggies will aim to bounce back after a stalemate with Boro before the international break at The Hawthorns as Karlan Grant equalised late on.

Albion are perched in third position and boss Valerien Ismael will be searching for three points to bridge the gap between the automatic promotion spots, currently occupied by Fulham and Bournemouth

The Terriers will be pushing for a play-off position, currently sitting in eighth place, only two points off the top six.

Manager Carlos Corberan has been praised for his overachievement with this Huddersfield side, as they challenged the promotion spots earlier this season.

  • Ones to watch

Cedric Kipre: West Brom

The former Wigan Athletic man has been a fairly hidden figure since signing in the summer of 2020 following the expiration of his contract at the Latics.

An Ivory Coast international at under-23 level, Kipre has only seen four league appearances since arriving at The Hawthorns and was loaned to Charleroi in January this year.

However, the Ivorian has made his mark over the last couple of games, proving that the back three can progress forward with the ball.

Kipre has often found himself stepping into midfield and adding that extra man to compensate for Ismael's resilience to change formation.

Sorba Thomas: Huddersfield Town

Rising from non-league to the EFL Championship player of the month in just a season, Sorba Thomas has proved himself to be the Terriers' main creative threat.

Bagging eight assists so far, and earning himself a Wales call-up off the back of his dazzling early season form.

Thomas joined Town from Boreham Wood in January of this year, and has slotted into the wing-back position seamlessly.

The 22-year-old will provide pinpoint delivery from set-piece situations, which will be crucial if they're to pick up a win against the Baggies.
