It is almost a guarantee that in every game that Sergio Reguilon plays for Tottenham hotspur, he will create a chance for himself to score. Although this happens quite often, it is very rare to see him get on the score sheet.

The Spanish international finally did it, as he scored the match-winning goal against Leeds United to secure all three points in the Premier League.

This was Reguilon's first ever Spurs goal. He made his Premier League debut on October 2020 in a 6–1 win away to Manchester United.

Eric Dier's free-kick just outside the box was deflected on to the post and the Spanish defender reacted so much faster than anyone else to fire the loose ball to the bottom of the net.

Reaction

''It is my first goal in Premier League,'' Reguilon told Spurs TV after the game. ''It's not a hat-trick but I want the ball... Sometimes in some matches I was close to scoring but finally today I got the 'striker's luck' and I can enjoy for a little bit.''

The 24 year-old Spaniard seems to be comfortable while playing as a left-wing back under Antonio Conte, being able to arrive with danger to the opposition's box.

Reguilon, who started playing professional football in 2015, recorded just the 10th goal of his career.

''Vamos!!'' Reguilon wrote on social media after the win. ''Happy to help the team.''
