Just a few days after Tottenham's Premier League fixture against Burnley was postponed due to the terrible weather, Antonio Conte will look to continue his good league momentum with Spurs.

Tottenham, who have tied with Everton and defeated Leeds United since Conte was appointed manager, will look to keep earning points in their fight for Champions League qualification.

On the other hand, Brentford is coming fresh off a 1-0 victory over Everton. Prior to their win over the Toffees, the team managed by Thomas Frank had allowed at least two goals in each of its last four matches.

Referee Jonathan Moss will take charge of the derby clash.

Bad news for Spurs

Tottenham have struggled with their defensive tactics over the last couple of seasons. Signing Cristian Romero from Atalanta during the summer was one of the best moves made by the new sporting director Fabio Paratici, but unluckily for them Romero will be sidelined for an extended period of time.

Antonio Conte has confirmed Cristian Romero will not play again in 2021. His hamstring injury is very serious and the defender could be out until January or February.

With Romero out, Japhet Tanganga or Davinson Sanchez will take his place in the back three along with Eric Dier and Ben Davies.

Predicted line-ups

Spurs

Lloris; Emerson, Dier, Sánchez, Davies, Reguilón; Skipp, Hojberg; Son, Ndombele and Kane

Brentford

Fernandez; Goode, Jansson, Pinnock; Henry, Janelt, Norgaard, Onyeka, Canós, Toney and Mbeumbo

Ones to watch

Heung Min Son

The South Korean star is leading the way for Tottenham this season with four goals in the Premier League.

Son has become one of the best players in the world due to his amazing finishing and dribbling.

Without a doubt he will have to make his presence on the game if Spurs want to get all three points.

Ivan Toney

The English striker has played 14 games this season for Brentford. Toney, who has received interest from multiple top clubs, has scored five goals and provided three assists during the 2021 / 22 campaign.
