Yet another Tottenham Hotspur player with a lot to prove has suffered a minor injury.
That is the case for Steven Bergwijn, who missed the Spurs most recent fixture against Southampton with a calf injury.
Antonio Conte revealed the Dutch man sustained the injury during Tottenham's 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Boxing Day and is also expected to miss this weekend's fixture against Watford at Vicarage Road.
Bergwijn joins Cristian Romero and Ryan Sessegnon as the Spurs players' who are out with injuries.
Antonio Conte speaks
''Yeah, yeah (Steven Bergwijn is injured), during the game against Crystal Palace, he felt a problem in his calf,'' the Italian manager said after the Spurs 1-1 draw with Southampton.
''Yeah, he was injured. Together with (Giovani) Lo Celso, (Cristian) Romero and (Ryan) Sessegnon.
I don't think he will be available for the weekend. He has a muscular problem and he needs to recover more time than 10 days or only a week.''
Steven Bergwijn had more shots (3) and completed more take-ons (2) than any other Tottenham or West Ham player.

Performances
Although his playing time has significantly decreased in the last couple of months under Conte, Bergwijn showed his quality in Tottenham's Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals 2-1 win over West Ham.
The Dutch man provided a goal and an assist as he led Spurs past the Hammers at North London, which earned him Man of The Match honors.

”The manager gave me the opportunity to prove what I can bring to this team,” Bergwijn said after the Carabao Cup fixture. ”I am happy.”
This season, 'Stevie' has played 13 games across all competitions, recording just one goal and two assists.
The 24 year-old was also forced to miss a total of six games earlier in the season with an ankle injury.
