According to Sky Sports Italia, Arturo Vidal has requested to wear the number 10 shirt at Juventus for the upcoming 2013/14 season.

The central midfielder, who has previously wore the number 22 and 23 shirts, played a pivotal role in La Vecchia Signora's title charge this season. With 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, Vidal was Juve's most prolific attacking player.

Arturo Vidal has been linked to a host of clubs this summer. According to Tuttosport, Real Madrid have asked for the Chilean in exchange for Gonzalo Higuain. However, Juventus have stated that Vidal will stay at the club, and these new reports suggest that the player wants to remain in Turin also.

Since the departure of Alessandro Del Piero, the number 10 shirt has remained vacant, although numerous names have been previously linked to the shirt including Claudio Marchisio, Sebastian Giovinco and even Gianluigi Buffon.
