Keisuke Honda is a target for Sevilla, Estadio Deportivo reports. It comes after a host of clubs who are rumoured to be interest in the signature of the Japan star considering his current deal with CSKA Moscow runs out on the 31st December this year.

The paper suggests that AC Milan and los Rojiblancos are the first and only two sides that have made an official contact with Honda, who under contract is valued at £20,000,000 by CSKA. The financial issues, which have been hugely aided by the sale of Jesús Navas to Manchester City, may prove a stumbling block, but there is hope within the Sevilla camp that they can land Honda in the winter on a costless transfer. Sevilla failed to convince Honda to join the club almost 3 years ago when he was plying his trade at VVV Venlo, and the player joined CSKA Moscow instead.

The Japanese international has made 76 domestic league appearances for CSKA in the Russian Premier League, scoring 19 goals in the process.
