In what has already been a busy summer transfer market for 1860 Munich, today it was announced that midfielder Fanol Perdedaj would be signing on a three-year deal at the Allianz Arena. This signing comes only hours after news that Spanish striker Rodri would be parting ways at the club.

Perdedaj a perfect fit

Sporting director Thomas Eichin has expressed his own role in the signing, claiming: "Fanol is a player I watched for a very long time.” Also adding that “he is very versatile and fits perfectly at 1860".

Of course, head coach Kosta Runjaić has also commented on his newest acquisition saying, "He is a very strong running and aggressive all-round midfielder.” Adding that, “He always has the right angle to perfectly put his teammates in."

Born in Albania, Perdedaj came to Germany as a child with his parents and grew up in Berlin. Aged eleven, he joined the junior team of Hertha BSC, where he went through the various stages and eventually progressed into the first team set-up.

Under Otto Rehhagel in the 2011/2012 season Perdedaj made eight Bundesliga appearances before going on loan in 2012/2013 to Lyngby BK where he played 22 times in the Danish Superligaen. He then came back to Germany to play with Energie Cottbus, where he managed 13 games in the second division and 35 games in the 3. Liga over the two years.

Last season the 25-year-old wore the jersey of FSV Frankfurt, participating in 30 games in total and notching three goals, two assists overall. Yet, still failing to keep them in the second division.

Rodri and 1860 part ways

After coming back from a one-year-loan at Liga Adelante Side, Real Valladolid, Rodri has decided that Germany isn’t for him as he decides to part ways with 1860.

Sporting director Thomas Gauge has made a slightly more abrupt statement on the decision, claiming: "We have found a good solution for both sides" and that he and the club “wish Rodri all the best for his future."

Rodri was transferred from Barcelona in August 2014 and signed a contract until 2017. Following his first season in Munich, making a single goal and assist overall, the striker was loaned to Real Valladolid. There, the 26-year-old made 34 appearances and was more prolific managing four goals, two assists overall.

Rodri will play with Córdoba CF next season, returning back to his home country where he will play to push them into promotion.
